as part of her undergraduate degree, marcella took a unit in the contemporary music studies faculty at macquarie university in sydney.  during that time, she recorded an early version of the track 'dust'.  the version is quite different from that which ended up on the 'morpheme' album, featuring a completely different vocal recording and an early version of the music before the cut-up acoustic guitar was added.  marcella is particularly fond of the vocals here.

the compilation itself is quite a mixed bag, featuring students from the macquarie university contemporary music studies faculty.  it's stylistically all over the shop, from abstract electronic sounscapes to acoustic pop, drum'n'bass and funk to straight rock, but doesn't actually contain too many bad tracks.
